Mystery Plants…

April 17th, 2010

So, I was reeeally smart when I planted some bulbs, and I failed to mark what they were. Oops! I know I have some Sparaxis in another pot, so I think these must be Rain Lily bulbs. Two are in one pot, one are in another. I’ll discover what they definitely are eventually, I suppose!

Regardless of which bulbs they may be, they came from the Dollar Tree dollarstore. Last year, I’d gotten gladiolus bulbs that did fantastic, so I’ll be testing other bulbs to see how they hold up, too… as well as how the gladiola do for the second year.

Also in one of the pots with these Probably-Rain-Lily bulbs are some unknown seedlings (and some sorry-looking dill). Plants that reseeded themselves? Weeds? Some magical new plants? Time will tell…

I don’t mark anything anymore:) Maybe I should though, because just when our flower bed next to the house was beginning to get green and closer to blooming, my husband decided to get rid of all the “weeds”. He was very proud of himself, until I mentioned that I was expecting flowers:)
